What a weekend we have in store in Serie A! There are three massive football games at the top end of the table while the relegation scrap intensifies.
Third plays second as Lazio host Juventus, while their Roman neighbours visit leaders Napoli; and on Sunday, it’s the Milan Derby! And with new boys SPAL and Verona within touching distance of 17th place, there’s a whole host of matches to enjoy right through the league with Asian Handicap Betting.
WEEK 27 SATURDAY:
SPAL vs Bologna
A fantastic 2-3 win away at Crotone has re-ignited SPAL’s survival campaign as they now sit a single point behind 17th. Roberto Donadoni’s Bologna arrive on back-to-back wins but have lost the last three on its travels.
WEEK 27 SUNDAY:
Lazio vs Juventus
These two heavyweights are in Coppa action in midweek but will be ready to slug it out in Rome. Juve desperately need a result after the snow left them four points adrift of Napoli last weekend. Lazio are third and striker Ciro Immobile has 23 goals, five more than his nearest rival. This is a tough fixture for the Bianconeri and they are at 2.28 to win, with Lazio at 3.10 and 3.20 the draw.
Napoli vs AS Roma
If Lazio get a result, then Napoli could move further ahead with a win at home to Roma; and they are available at 1.80 with a -0.75 handicap to do just that. The leaders had five different scorers as they destroyed Cagliari last week, while a home defeat for Roma against Milan dropped Eusebio Di Francesco’s team to fifth.
Atalanta vs Sampdoria
Eighth plays sixth at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia at a time when Atalanta are going through a little sticky patch. Atalanta are without a win in four, in all competitions, and have struggled particularly at home. Sampdoria have lost four of the last five away though, so the hosts are favourites to win at 1.80.
Torino vs Crotone
Torino, in ninth, face 17th-placed Crotone, a team which is now looking very nervously over its shoulder having lost at home to SPAL last week. Crotone’s mood won’t have been improved by Torino’s defeat at fellow strugglers Verona and will hope for a similar favour from the hosts on Sunday…unlikely!
Udinese vs Fiorentina
Eleventh plays tenth and Udinese could leapfrog Fiorentina with a win.The visitors, however, are in better form with seven points from four games while the hosts have collected only one. This is an opportunity for the Viola to keep their distance and an away win is available at 2.32
Benevento vs Hellas Verona
Benevento, with only ten points, have too much to do, but 19th-placed Verona went up to 19 points last week. The visitors are now just two behind 17th and closing in on the teams just above, so another win here will really put the cat among the pigeons.
Chievo vs Sassuolo
And that could well give Chievo and Sassuolo sleepless nights. Both these teams have lost four in the last five and are right in the mix, particularly Sassuolo who are 16th on 23 points. It could look pretty grim come Sunday.
Genoa vs Cagliari
Three wins from four have lifted Genoa away from the mire, but back-to-back defeats have left Cagliari right in it. The visitors’ leaky defence was destroyed at home to Napoli last week and conceded three in the 2-3 home defeat to Genoa back in October.
WEEK 27 MONDAY:
AC Milan vs Inter Milan
The Milan derby could hardly be tastier! Genarro Gattuso really has the Rossoneri rocking with five consecutive wins in all competitions and they are well in the Europa hunt. Meanwhile, Inter are in a three-way battle for the last two Champions League places and have relied heavily on 18-goal Mauro Icardi. Milan are 2.37 to win with Inter at 3.05 and the draw at 3.15.
